The India Business Forum was pleased to host an important engagement with the Department of Home Affairs (DHA) on the Trusted Employer Scheme (TES), providing members with direct access to the Department at a particularly important time, with Round 2 applications open until 4 September 2026.

We were honoured to welcome Mr. Phindiwe Mbhele, Director: Corporate Accounts, Department of Home Affairs, who led an insightful and practical briefing on the Trusted Employer Scheme. His engagement provided members with greater clarity on the application process, eligibility requirements, compliance obligations and key benefits of TES.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Maya Bhatt, General Secretary, CII–IBF SA, emphasised the importance of the Trusted Employer Scheme for IBF members and thanked the Department of Home Affairs for creating an opportunity for direct and meaningful engagement with the business community.

The briefing was followed by an interactive Q&A session, allowing members to raise questions and gain practical clarification
