The India Business Forum was honoured to host His Excellency Shri S. Koventhan, Consul General of India in Johannesburg, at a special event to formally welcome him to the Forum.

In his welcome address, Shri Nihar Patnaik, President of CII–IBF (SA), warmly welcomed His Excellency Shri S. Koventhan and expressed the Forum’s enthusiasm for working closely with him to further strengthen the economic and commercial relationship between India and South Africa.

In his address, His Excellency Shri S. Koventhan highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Consulate and the business community. He reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the India Business Forum and its members to promote trade, investment, innovation, and stronger economic ties between the two countries.

The Forum also felicitated Shri Harish Kumar for his dedicated service as Acting Consul General of India in Johannesburg and for his unwavering support to the India Business Forum.

The event also featured an engaging Economic Dialogue on “South Africa and the Global Economy: Risks, Opportunities and the Business Outlook,” presented by Ms. Mamello Matikinca-Ngwenya, Chief Economist at FNB. Her insightful analysis of the economic landscape was followed by an interactive Q&A session.
