The CII–India Business Forum South Africa (IBF SA) celebrated the Festival of Lights with an evening of joy, unity, and cultural splendour on Saturday, 25th October 2025, at the Indaba Hotel, Fourways, Johannesburg.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Shri. Nihar Patnaik, President of CII–IBF South Africa, followed by special remarks by Shri. Mahesh Kumar, Consul General of India in Johannesburg. The evening was graced by the presence of Smt. Banu Prakash, Deputy High Commissioner of India to South Africa, and H.E. Shri Prabhat Kumar, High Commissioner of India to South Africa, whose keynote address highlighted the enduring partnership and shared values between India and South Africa.

The evening featured a delightful cultural performance and a vibrant networking gala dinner, bringing together distinguished guests from the diplomatic corps, government, and industry leaders from both nations in the true spirit of Diwali — celebrating prosperity, harmony, and new beginnings. The event was concluded by Ms. Maya Bhatt, General Secretary of CII–IBF South Africa, with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, partners, and members for making the celebration a grand success.
