The CII-India Business Forum SA along with fellow international chambers, had the honor of meeting Hon. Dr. Leon Schreiber, Minister of Home Affairs, South Africa, at Bryanston Country Club organised by the British Chamber of Business in Southern Africa.

Our member companies Blueberry Travel, 24 By 7 Travel, Sadguru Travels, and VFS Global proudly represented the Indian business community in discussions focused on promoting inbound tourism from India to South Africa.

Key highlights included:

• Emphasising the role of visa facilitation in unlocking greater tourism potential.
• Advocating for the inclusion of MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) under the Trusted Tour Operators Scheme (TTOS).
• The Minister assured that MICE tourism will be added to TTOS from next year, a significant step to simplify travel for Indian corporates and groups.
• On behalf of IBF, Mr. Ashish Sharma, CEO of 24/7 Travel, presented a token of appreciation to the Hon. Minister.
• This engagement marks another milestone in building bridges for economic growth and cultural exchange between India and South Africa.
